1977, at 4:10 p.m. at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre after an extended illness. Born in Homestead, Jan. 26, 1904, he had been employed by Westinghouse Electric at the East Pittsburgh plant retiring in 1968 after 37 years of service. He moved to Athens following his retirement.

Mr. Rishel was a member of the Athens Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Isabel; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Czapor of Tipp City, Ohio and Mrs. Andrew (Dorothy) Lantz of Wellburg RD four grandchildren, two aunts, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Lowery Funeral Home, 225 S. Main Athens, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Private, services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday. The Rev. Joseph J.

Beverly Kaznowski, 58. of 97 E. Union Canton, Pa. formerly of South Waverly, died at her home Sunday at 2:15 p. Feb.

27, 1977. She was the wife of Michael Kaznowski. Born July 16, 1918 in Canton, she was the daughter of Robert F. and Mabel Darling Elliott. Surviving besides her husband are her father and step-mother, Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Elliott of Canton RD a brother, Lorimer D. Elliott of Canton and a twin sister, Mrs. Barbara Williams, also of Canton. Friends may call at the Maneval Funeral Home, 500 W.

Fourth Williamsport, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond A Fravel, pastor of the byterian Church of Canton, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.

Robert Isham Of Owego Dies At Age 41 Robert C. Isham, 41. of West Creek Road (Weltonville) Newark Valley, died suddenly Thursday afternoon upon arrival at Ideal Hospital in Endicott where he was taken after being stricken with a heart attack at his place of business. Born Sept. 15, 1935 in the Town of Caroline, Tioga County, N.Y., the son of Lawrence C.

and Claudia Woods Isham, he established the Isham Texaco Service Center on upper North Owego, on Dec. 10. 1976. Prior to that time he had been asso. ciated with the John Matt's Mobile and Howard J.

Rumsey Mobile, both in Owego. Mr. Isham was a member of the First Presbyterian Union Church in Owego, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1595 of Owego, and was a member of the Moose Traveling Bowling League. Surviving are his wife, Sharon (Sherwood) Isham at home; a son.

Robert C. Isham at home; three daughters, Mrs. Laurence (Eva Marie) Scovell of Nichols; Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Wheeland Jr. of Owego and Tina Isham of Nichols: a son, Jeffrey, died in 1965.

Also surviving are his parents. Lawrence C. Isham of Owego; Mrs. Claudia W. Isham of Owego; three brothers, Lawrence of Candor and Gaylord Isham.

Nichols Girl Hurt in Car, Bike Accident A Nichols girl sustained minor injuries in a car bicycle accident Sunday afternoon on the River Road, about three miles west of Nichols. Lori L.

Grady, 10, of River Road, was taken to the Robert Packer Hospital with abrasions and bruises. She was discharged following treatment. Owego State Police reported that Lori was riding her bicycle east on the south shoulder of road when she rode left onto the highway. An eastbound car, driven by Peter Hannas of Garden Sayre, pulled left to avoid the girl, struck the bicycle in the westbound lane. Trooper P.

J. Sindoni investigated. Miss Bottone To Compete For Title PAMELA BOTTONE Miss Pamela Bottone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis tone, 602 S.

Elmer Sayre, has been selected as an entrant in the 1977 Miss Pennsylvania pageant to be held at the Franklin Mall, Washington, March 2 through March: The state pageant will select Pennsylvania's representative the Miss USA pageant nationally televised on CBS-TV from Charleston, S. C. in May. Miss Bottone, who was selected as an entrant: at large, will be competing with girls from all over the Keystone State for the title of Miss Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Sayre Area High School and is now attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

While attending high school in Sayre, Miss Bottone participated in the Girls' Swim Team, Student Council, Teen Council, SAYEA, intramurals, French Club and worked with the Special Education Students. Her other activities include Girl Scouts and swimming. Miss Bottone was crowned Homecoming Queen at the Punxsutawney campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. One of the requirements of the Miss Pennsylvania pageant is that each entrant wear a costume descriptive of the area she represents. Pamela plans to wear an Indian outfit representative of this area and her high school.

Athens Man Is Arrested In Waverly An Athens man was arrested in the Village of Waverly at 12:50 Saturday morning following an incident on Broad St. John Simonds, of 202 E.

Pine Athens, was charged with loitering and criminal mischief. He appeared before lage Justice H. Bradley Smith and pleaded guilty to the charge. He paid a $50 fine on the criminal mischief charge and will appear on March 12 for sentencing on the loitering charge. Patrolman Dan Walt made the arrest.

She is survived by four daughters: Lily Newton of Ithaca, with whom she resided, Leona Henson of Waverly, Eloise Card of Camdon, N.Y. and Mary Jane Mikula of Lansing, N.Y.; four sisters, Blanche Crawford of Horseheads, Pearl Wheller of Waverly, Alice Welfell of Virginia, and Lillian Horton of Nichols: one brother, William Wilcox of Nichols: 35 grandchildren; and 30 great dren. Hose Co. No. 6 Auxiliary at a meeting held in the company rooms. The skating party was planned for March 9 from 7 to 9 p.m.

at the Keystone Roller Rink. Skates may be rented for the event and there will be an admission charge. Several members volunteered to make and circulate posters. Bonnie Streeter, Kay Nagle and Connie Roupp reported that they had audited the books for 1976. Barbara Bean won the dark horse.

Refreshments were served by Ann King and Cathy Whinnle. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 22. Equivalency Tests Slated At Towanda The High School Equivalency Examination (G.E.D. Test) will be administered in Room 207 at the Towanda Area High School on Friday evening. March 11, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., and on Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m.

to 4 p.m. This high school equivalency test, which offers a Pennsylvania high school equivalency diploma. provides an opportunity for high school drop-outs or adults who have never finished school to gain academic credit for knowledge they have acquired outside of school by taking a series examinations. Five separate tests are included in the examination and require approximately 10 hours to complete. These tests are designed to measure various skills normally connected with completion of high school.

Persons desiring to take the test at, the above-mentioned time may fill out an application form at the test center and present this form to the test supervisor along with a required fee bethe test.
