Maayan Sherman, whose soldier son Ron was kidnapped to Gaza and killed in captivity, spoke at a protest in Tel Aviv's Azrieli Junction. "Ron served as a liaison and support representative for the Gaza population," she said, "and under the Israeli government's watch he was kidnapped as a soldier to Gaza – alive and well."

"His life ended in a tunnel when it was decided to bomb the northern Gaza brigade commander along with the hostages with him. Our Ron was sacrificed for the sake of coalition's unity. He unwillingly became a resounding exclamation point on nine months of abandonment and on what could happen right now if Netanyahu continues to thwart the chance for a life-saving deal."

A video of Almog Meir Jan, an Israeli hostage who was rescued from Hamas captivity in Gaza last month, was screened at a rally calling for a hostage release deal in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square plaza.

"The fact that I came back is like a birthday for me, like a rebirth that I truly believe all hostages in Gaza will experience, like me," Meir Jan said.

"It is important that we reach a deal so that all mothers can hug their children and husbands, the way I hug my mother now every morning," he continued.

Some 20 settlers throw stones at houses in West Bank and set vineyard alight

Around 20 settlers threw stones at homes in the village of Madama, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, and set fire to an olive vineyard, according to footage from a Yesh Din investigation.

According to the Yesh Din organization, the settlers descended from the Yitzhar settlement towards the village, and soldiers and defense officials did not stop them from carrying out their actions.

The Israeli army said that "earlier [Saturday], Israeli citizens arrived to the edge of Madama, set fire to several points in the area, and threw stones at the village. IDF forces quickly arrived to the scene upon receiving the report, and distanced the citizens from the area."

Planes were simultaneously called in to extinguish a fire in the village of Turmus Ayya near Ramallah, which was allegedly also set alight by settlers.
